Alright. To be fair, thanks to the OP, I was forewarned about the smell.,, so this wasnt a big shocker. But dear 6 pound, 8 oz baby jeebus.... seriously?

Once I opened the box to unleash what we shall call "fleather smell apocalypse.." the shoes were seriously cute. Even more than their 140 dollar dollar counter parts which were made of real cow. They were however, unaware able for days. I even stuck them in a bag for a *week* that sealed with lavender and violet oil, which will kill just about anything.. and nope. All fake leather. I took them out a couple of days.. and the smell had completely taken over my sisters huge walk in closet and all of her clothes.

I finally put on my big girl panties and wore them out anyway. With my friends variously crinkling up their noses in the car once we realized that the boots of doom did infact extend their wrath that far. Very cute shoes! Also very comfy. The only problems were that they smelled horrible of fake leather, I had to let them air out in a window for a few days and then they still smelled until after a couple wears. Also, they are a little tight in the toe area, which after a few wears doesnt seem to be a problem. Great to slip on with leggings or skinny jeans. You can totally wear them casual or dress them up with a cute top!

I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. The reviewer was right about the smell tho! wow! They dont look like leather to me, but i really do like all the buckles and straps, and the softness of the material. i think the shoe will get better with wear. I wish the heel was a 1/2-1" higher. that would have made them perfect!! regardless, I love this boot. Exactly what i was looking for :)
