I dig the balance between function and form in this boot. Well-made, comfortable from the outset, roomy (if you are between sizes, you might want the smaller one), and gorgeous. Another score. These look pretty decent with dress pants too, if you are over heels and want something suitable for winter/cold-weather wear. I plan to treat them with Atsko Sno-Seal before wearing them in really wet weather. Also, I'm pretty sure they'd serve you well for a long trek through the woods or other light hiking. I ordered the mahogany, and I kind of wish the leather wasn't so distressed--I'm not a fan of the fake, "I've worn these shoes forever" look, but it's not a huge deterrent since Merrell pulled it off pretty well.

Have worn Merrells for years.....have always found them to be comfortable and durable; same holds true with these boots. Love the "worn" appearance.
