I own at least 200+ pairs of Vaneli shoes. Since the makers switched their manufacturing plant to China, the products have dwindled in quality. The boots are lovely, however they are very uncomfortable. The heal does not appear to be sound in design. I am a 9.5 medium, but I ordered the 10 medium for comfort. It was very narrow at the tip. These are not true riding boots fashion or otherwise. The material is not up to the normal Vaneli standard. I am returning them and ordering the Ralph Lauren riding boots. They're more expensive, but you get really good quality.

These were a little tight in the toe, and loose in the heel and shaft for me. They looked nice, but had to return the Shantie. I have a long, somewhat narrow foot without a lot of volume. Seems like a good product otherwise. I kept a pair of black VANELi's same size, but different cut (Talla, tall shaft) that fit my foot better and had a more versatile style. I've worn them comfortably all day several days a week.
