shoe is absolutely true to size i wear 12m but ordered 12w for comfort as i am using the shoe for winter and plan to tuck in boots or wear socks etc. my calf is 14.5 and it is wide enough and very comfortable. well made quality shoe. it is also lined wich was not stated in the initial product description and i almost returned it thinking it would not be warm enough for the uk. also the bottom has rubber traction. amazon please expand your descriptions in future. Excellent buy! now i have to see how it performs for winter.

These are wonderful. I wear 10AAA. I bought the taupe color. I can wear them with skinny jeans tucked inside or not, they are neither too snug with the jeans nor too loose without them. There is an elastic expandable part at the top that allows for both ways. They are very comfortable, but I did add a cushion for the ball of my foot, since there is none at all. The suede parts are lightly lined. The heel is a good heighth and width for me. I walk on cobble stones and I don't have to worry about wobbling. The most amazing thing is that I get compliments every time I wear them out. From teenagers (hence my amazement--I am 45) up to 30 somethings. I was not expecting such a nice boot, so I am pleasantly surprised and very happy with them.
