Do you have a several cute pairs of laceup shearling "winter" boots yet fear stepping into the stray puddle?
Has the winter brought with it not only snow but ankle deep slush-everywhere...all the time?
Do you live in a city (like New York) where all sidewalks terminate in brown moats of indeterminate detritus suspended in a lovely slurry of melted snow, motor oil, and dog urine waiting to seep between the seams of your footwear?

On top of it all, are you cursed with ginormous, athletic calves? As you're trudging down the street do you gaze with envy at the scores of women swarming the sidewalks, their calves swimming in wellies of all shapes and sizes-none of which will fit you?

I certainly do.

Are you also dead set against spending as much money on a pair of wellies (vulcanized rubber, for godssake) as you are a pair of heels, leather boots, or doc martens?

THESE ARE WELL MADE BOOTS... BUT LIKE ANOTHER CUSTOMER SAID IN HER REVIEW IT IS WIDE IN THE ANKLE & MAKES IT AKWARD TO WALK IN. OTHER THAN THAT, THE REASON I PURCHASED THESE IS CAUSE I HAVE BIG CALFS & THEY FIT PERFECTLY OVER MY PANTS WITHOUT HAVING TO FEEL CONSTRICTION IN MY CALF AREA. I GOT THEM IN THE GRAY... AND ANOTHER CUSTOMER IN HER REVIEW SAID THAT THEY DO RUN BIG, SO I DID SIZE DOWN. I USUALLY WEAR A 7 1/2 OR 8. I BOUGHT THESE IN A 7 & THEY FIT FINE WITH ENOUGH ROOM FOR MY TOES TO WIGGLE IN. I GOT THEM IN THE CHARCOAL GRAY & I LOVE THEM NOW THAT IM USE TO WALKING IN THEM.

These boots are very well made with very thick material...almost like wading boots. They do run a bit big. I ordered an 8 but they are too big. I will try to wear with thicker socks and hopefully that will make it better. Otherwise very happy with the boots. Nice for rain or snow.
