Thanks to the reviews, I did order a 1/2 size down. I will warn you though...width wise they are definitely snug. I would say that my feet are just a little bit wider than average but my length is a true size 8. In boots I usually wear 8.5 or 9. I went with an 8 on these and would not go bigger otherwise the length would be way too long. It's generous as it is. At first, the fit was tight but I wore them around the house for about 1/2 hour and they begin to meld to my foot. Since then I've tried wearing them around the house here and there just too be sure. I can tell they are going to feel just fine. They look exceptionally great with skinny jeans and tights. The calf is generous as well...even with socks and pants on I could still fit a finger inside the leg. I am about average weight, size 8, 5'6''.

When I received these boots, I assumed I'd be living in them all fall & winter. They are very cute with just the right amount of heal.

Unfortunately, they are way too narrow. I have sligtly wider than average feet but regular width shoes usually fit me fine. These pinch my feet, even with thin socks on, and are impossible to wear with warm socks for winter. If I wear them for more than 2 or 3 hours a day, they also cause me lower back pain.

I wish they would've worked for me, but it looks like these are going to be pushed to the back of my closet because they are so uncomfortable. Maybe try buying a half-size to a size larger than your regular size if you have slightly wide feet or if you like to wear your boots with warm socks.

I ordered these in the brown 'cigar' colour, which is lovely - less glossy than it looks in the photos. I was looking for the right combination of style, comfort and practicality to deal with Scottish winters. I haven't tested for the winter rain and snow yet (other reviews look positive) but they score full marks on comfort and style.

I wasn't sure what size to go for after reading the reviews so I used the measurements off the [...] website (i.e. measure your foot length) which seemed to work great as they are the right size. They are snug but can handle a skinny pair of jeans tucked in. The leather is soft and does tend to scuff easily, which I don't mind as it adds to the look but if that will annoy you these aren't the boots for you.

Overall I'm v happy with them.
