Had to return boots, they were too tight around the calves with my skinny jeans, I have average calves, not large. I was looking for dark brown boots that would look OK with black, the color was what I was looking for. The style was very nice too. Everything I was looking for except the fit. Got the 5.5W since they were out of 5.5M. Thought I could get away with the W since I would be wearing socks with the boots. Even if the calves had fit, the 5.5W would have been a little too wide, even with socks.

I love my boots! I have a very high arch and these boots have very good arch support. I can wear them all day and my feet never hurt. They are casual but really dress up jeans as opposed to sneakers. My calf is very thin and these are a little wide on them. I would say they would be good for average sized calves. My feet aren't real wide, but I have moderate bunions and most shoes hurt my feet, but not these. I would highly recommend them to any one with feet like mine: high arches, bunions. (Boy my feet sound ugly!)

I got these boots and wore them all day at work the next day. My feet did not hurt one bit. I'm hard to fit and fussy about my footwear so this was a great plus in my book. I got the boot in a wide because I want to wear a heavier sock now and then. They are not ultra wide, just a skoosh wider than a Med. width. I'm glad I ordered them this way. In my opinion, this is a nicely made boot, leather, zipper all the way past the ankle, and full lining. I'd buy this brand again.
