Boots are cute, great fit-- but the color is HORRIBLE. The "taupe" is not a taupe.. it is a greenish gray color, with a little bit of brown- not attractive at all and I am sending mine back pronto. The true color of the boots is NOTHING like the picture.

If I had ordered the black, I'm sure it would have been a different story.. The boot fit was true to size (I'm a 7.5 and the 7.5 fit great), but the color was ick.

On the positive side, my boots arrived on time and Amazon is so great about returns.

If you order the boots- order them in any color besides the "taupe".

I picked these boots up for my wife for Christmas. Thank you Amazon for the fantastic deal. They look great out of the box and look to get better as they break in. My wife love Steve Madden shoes in general and these boots live up to those high standards.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn...AFTER I struggled to get them on...Having a wide foot, I had to shimmy my foot into the boot and it took awhile before I could get them on...A side zipper on these boots would be great and end the struggle. Also do not wear heavy socks or your boots will never go on easy. Order a size larger for that perfect fit.
