I did my research and ordered these boots when I was looking for good, comfortable, flexible, waterproof, and warm boots.
These are wonderful. I usually wear a size 8.5-9 in womens and 39-40 in European size.
I order a 9 in these boots and it fit well. I wear them on a thin sock and they are still warm. I can also comfortably wear a thicker sock.
I have tested them on ice. They are not ice pickers but were not bad on ice. Ice is ice, you know? You just need to be careful. However, if you are getting these shoes and live in an icy area, you may want to look into something with considerable traction.
I live in New England and I LOVE THESE BOOTS! I highly recommend them.

Too small - Disappointed,

It's hard to properly review these boots, as I didn't get to wear them out. I ordered these as the other Sorel boots that I ordered in a 9 were a little snug. The only problem - this 9.5 was exactly the same size. My feet fit into them, but they were a little snug in the toes. I'm normally a 9 or 9.5 and tend towards 9 if they are wider, which most Sorel reviews seem to indicate.
The other problem with these boots was the lining. It wasn't really adhered to the outside of the boot. When I tried the boots on, it kept sliding down and bunching up under my heel. This might not have been a problem if they weren't a little too small.

Sorry to say but the size chart for Women shoes did not prove to be right.
As I live in Sweden I want to buy EU size. I looked at the size chart and ordered what I thought was right. But no - I got a pair that was 2 numbers to big!
But! Amazoon repaid me the money and gave me really good feedback so I will probably order from them agan.
