I love sorels. I got these in the mail like 4 days ago and I wore them right away of course. At first I was dissapointed because they are not super thick like Uggs for example so I thought they were going to be awful in the snow. But the night I wore them we were hit with a crazy freak storm and the fabric the boot is made out of is waterproof material for sure. These boots aren't super "let's go out and play in the snow boots", but your feet will stay super warm and dry with a few inches of snow on the ground. Plus they are super super cute and very comfortable. Do not regret the purchase at all and I would totally recommend them!
