Even though there is a slit with elastic in it, these shoes never made it on my feet. They look great, and I was looking forward to warm shoes, but because I have a high instep, I could not get my foot in at all.

If you have a high instep - or high arch - don't bother.

I know that Sorel is a good shoe but only if you can wear it. This style appears comfortable but the boots have no give at the front and the back of the foot , I struggle to get my average size foot in it even tried a shoe horn..no luck . I endeavored to return but too complicated... This is the second pair that I had a problem..Bye Bye slip in Sorel boots only tie ups for me.
