So my J.O.A Reserve boots arrived today. I had them delivered to my job. Where do I begin? I guess the easiest way is to point out the pros and cons...
-->They do not look exactly like the pic. As a matter of fact, the pic makes them look like the base is black (or at least a dark color). It's actually more gray (dare I say smoky). Are they ugly? Ehhh. My coworker convinced me that they're not that bad. She has good taste so I'm gonna think about it.
-->They are DEFINITELY WARM! Within five minutes my feet got toasty and I was wearing thin socks to begin with. Thumbs up for that!
-->Semi easy to put on, but I had to ask that same co-worker to help me pull them off. I think that once I put these on, I better be prepared to wear them all day long, or hope that my co-worker's in a good mood :).
-->They are very rugged. Not too feminine. So if you're going for the girly look, don't even check these out. I think I'll wear leggings/jeggings/skinnys...Read more

I imagined these boots to be lighter than they actually are. They felt cumbersome on my feet and very inflexible. Basically, you can't bend your heels/ankles in these boots and they are very heavy. I also thought the removable wool cuff meant that I could take the lining out and have the option of wearing them as a regular boot as well as a winter boot. This is not the case. The lining is only removable for the purpose of being washed, the boot is not wearable without the lining because it is too big and the sole is hard. Although they seem very durable, they are just not what I wanted out of a boot..... I am sending them back.
