I purchased these boots as a Christmas present for myself. They arrived on Christmas Eve, and we had our first Christmas snow in more then 50 years! I put them on with only thin wool socks to walk the dogs; they were warm and comfortable right away. I had ordered a size 10 because other reviews said they run small. I normally wear a 9.5, and the 10s fit fine. My feet can be sensitive, and need good support. I walked 2 miles the first night and my feet felt fine. Definitely impressed!

I bought these boots to wear to a football game in December in Buffalo, NY. I had high hopes that my toes would stay warm since it was only 20 degress...no where near the -25 they live up to. Unfortunately, my toes were frozen within 2 hours. Very disappointing. Nonetheless, I still gave them 3 out of 5 stars because they are very comfortable, true to size and easy to walk in. Not tight or clunky. But if your toes are numb, it doesnt matter how cute your boots are. Not the right purchase if you're looking for an extra warm boot.
Happy snowshoeing feet,

This is my first pair of Sorels. I bought them hoping they would keep my feet warm, dry, and comfortable on snowshoeing trips at altitude in sub-freezing weather. They do. I've hiked many mountain miles in them this winter and they have been great. The ridges on the back keep my snowshoe straps in place, and I wear them with gaiters. These boots are hefty enough that I feel prepared for serious weather, but soft, flexy and light enough that I don't notice I have them on. I love equipment that "disappears" in use. I bought my regular size and I wear them with medium weight wool socks so I can wiggle my toes easily - that's important for staying warm. The large lace eyelets and slippery laces make it easy to get the boots on and off, but they also make it harder to cinch the boots around the ankle. Inserting a plastic cord-lock above the ankle and tying double bows solved this problem. These boots are fine around town in winter, too. They have excellent traction. Oh, and I bought the...Read more
