Sorel Women's Alpha Trac Buckle Boot

These boots are SOOO stiff up the back you cant even bend your ankle. Its very uncomfortable to walk in them. I was very displeased. I was excited to get them and after trying to walk in them I wasn't anymore.I ordered another pair of Sorels because I love the brand just not this particular style.Sorel is a wonderful company overall, just not these boots....

I love this boot! We had two feet of snow today, and I sledded in them for hours, without my feet getting cold or wet. My only problem is that my son keeps taking them, because he likes them so much! Easy to get on because of the grip tab at the back top of the liner. Easy buckle closure. Very sturdy. I got mine on mega sale clearance end of season at REI last summer, and I wonder if they were mismarked on the size. I am a women's 10 to 10 1/2, with a very wide forefoot. I usually would have to buy a men's 9 in a snow boot - a women's 10 would usually be too small. These boots were a women's size 10 (EU 41), and they fit very well, not too tight. Be forewarned, however, that they are very stiff and clunky. More like wearing a ski boot than a hiking boot. Difficult to drive in. Not for taking a long hike or a comfortable stroll. But for outdoor sports like sledding or snowmobiling, or playing in deep snow, they can't be beat.

I live in Michigan, and have three big dogs waiting for a walk everyday.
These are the warmest boots with best waterproof ever.
It covers deep snow, half melt snow, muddy terrain and not too hard ice.
Toes are toasty even in the coldest and snowiest days.
These are not the easiest boots to take off but the handle of the inner layer helps you.
After having those boots, winter dog walk becomes something to look forward to. It used to be a gloomy job.
