These boots have been on my top 3 to get for a couple of months, but the sizing reviews (some people said they fit true to size, some said they were a 1/2 size to big, others said the shaft was to narrow, etc.) had me questioning if these boots would be worth buying. I received the whisky color today and they are GORGEOUS!!! I wear a 9.5 M US and bought my normal size and the fit is true to size. The quality of the leather is great, the button detailing on the side give it that extra uuumph and the adjustable straps in the back puts this boot in the FIERCE category. I'm sooooo glad I purchased these boots and can't wait to wear them this fall. I'm definitely buying the black pair. I have another Sam Edelman boot and so far I have no complaints with this designer (and I'm a tough critic). If you are on the fence like I was on purchasing this boot, take the plunge you won't regret it. Also, Amazon's fast shipping was the icing on the cake.

The boots are TRUE TO SIZE. Many reviews say they are one or half size bigger. I'm usually wear size 6.5. If I bought size 6, there wouldn't be any room for my toes. They are VERY fierce! Perfect snapped buttons and buckles detailing. The shaft is pretty narrow, ideal for skinny/straight calves, no more than 14.5 inches in circumference.

First I ordered the olive color because a reviewer said they were more taupe. Not true - definitely green, so only order if you have things in your wardrobe to go with it. The whiskey are great but the color is not as depicted (see photo I posted). They seem to go with everything in my closet and are a perfect fit. I was a bit surprised to find the toe box a bit tight because I have narrow feet. It is a bit snug and I'm hoping they conform over time because sizing up wouldn't work. Normally I wear a 9.5 in running shoes, 8.5 in boots with a heel. I could probably wear these in a 9 since they are flat but it wasn't available at the time and everything else about the boot fits perfectly. (sale price was $144 - amazing)
I'd love to see these in a darker, richer brown.
Returns were easy and under $6!
