These are great boots!! I got them in the Stone color. The color is very accurate in the picture. It will go with everything. They're made of a very supple suede. The suede is substantial but not bulky in any way. A lot of over-the-knee boots I've tried lately have been way too bulky and stiff. These are the complete opposite. Sam Edeleman makes a great shoe and he didn't disappoint here.
I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 but went with the 9 since there'd be socks involved. It felt a tiny bit long but not too wide at all. Even with the little extra length there's no chafing on the heel when I walk in them. They stay in place.
You can wear these up over the knee (and they do go over the knee) or you can fold them down for a to-the-knee look. Versatile.
BOTTOM LINE: Another high quality product from Sam at a SUPER LOW PRICE from Amazon. I recommend ordering your normal size.
