This is a good boot for the money but it is more of a thigh high boot and not an over the knee. I am 5'7" and have a longer torso and shorter legs, so this may be why the boots seemed so tall. I ended up returning them.

I wore these for the first time the other night and was complimented ENDLESSLY.
They are high-about 1-2 inches above the top of the knee, but paired with a cute short skirt or dress, they look AMAZING. My main comment was "hot" so buy them with that in mind >__<

The other comment is true - when worn as pictured, these boots are very high and would be classified as thigh-high. However, I believe they're actually meant to be folded down where they become just below the knee. Keep this in mind before you decide to buy.
That said, they're pretty nice boots but had I known this beforehand I would have chosen something else.
