If you just love the look (and the feel) of this style of boot, they're awesome. The leather version is fairly substantial, and laces up securely, unless you have super skinny calves. The side zips make removing the boots easy, but for putting them on, you should plan on having to lace them up each time. On these size 14's, the heel is 8.5", in case you were curious. For posing, and perhaps some crawling, during the occasional romp in the bedroom, these are so sexy! Your calves will probably cramp up if you're not used to this level of stretching, and it will take a few minutes to walk normally again once you've taken them off...I suggest an extensive warm-up and stretch before putting them on. The front of the boot will be a bit wrinkly if you're not really "en pointe", but thats to be expected. If you plan on wearing these often, get some expert advice on stretching all the muscles of your legs, and make a routine of it.
