Old Gringo Women's Sturgis Boot

I was excited to try an Old Gringo boot and was hoping this might become the everyday ankle boot I'd been hoping for. The search is still on, unfortunately.

The boot runs at least a full size (maybe even 11/2 sizes) too big. I vary between an 8 and an 81/2 in size and ordered the 9 since they only come in whole sizes. I tried the boot on my biggest foot in thick socks and it swam in it.
The sole is sturdy and rigid, like a workman's boot. In fact, this boot feels extremely masculine in person, much more so than from the website.

I ordered the darker brown boot and it is a very dk brown, almost black.

The leather quality is excellent: it has an unusual, slightly shiny, crinkled texture, which wasn't apparent to me from the photo, but which I think is very cool.

I was somewhat skeptical because of another review. However I think if the boot fits, you won't have problems. I loved the look and the fit is somewhat generous in length. After trying it on, it is very well made and the straps are easy to fasten. Your foot slides into somewhat like an envelope. I have a narrow foot and old gringo's really fit well in width. They didn't gap like another had mentioned, I ordered the coach color is somewhat golden very distressed leather, beautiful, different lovely boot. This is a very popular style this season, have seen it over and over!!!

Can't go wrong withn old gringo.THey make some of the best well made boots ever.Love these boots ,they are a little narrow but I had them stretched ,perfect fit.
