Nine West Women's YourSoCute Boot

Don't get confused by looking at the picture of these boots and reading the awesome reviews. I was excited for them to arrive only to be near-tears disappointed when these ugly little pirate boots came out of the box. Beware the picture gals; these babies slouch to the ankle and are way too casual for work...unless you're a bartender. And despite being called "tall" they actually reach only mid-calf. The suede is papery-thin and the black shows every itty-bitty scuff. They are comfortable though, but so trashy looking, it'd be embarrassing to be seen in them. Guess I'll use them for next year's sexy pirate Halloween costume. Arrh! What a disappointment.

Overall, I am very pleased with this boot. Being someone who hates walking in heels, this boot provides a comfortable fit without sacrificing style. The heel is just high enough to make my legs look longer, but I don't feel like I'm walking in heels at all. The suede is very soft, as others have noted. I also have trouble with boots because of my calves, but these fit without any problems, even with jeans tucked in, and without any problems with cutting of circulation to my feet. They are also very true to size.

However, as others have noted, the color is darker than advertised (I got the light brown, but they look like the medium or dark brown, but they still look great). They do indeed slouch, more than the photo would suggest, but I think they look pretty good if they're somewhat slouchy. I got these boots in Light Brown, and they are sooooo wonderful! The suede is soft and smooth, the fit is true to size, the heels are the perfect height for a comfortable walk and slightly elongated legs, and the boots are very comfortable! I tried these on at Macy's before I bought them on Amazon. I can wear them over skinny jeans or with a dress and tights. They are elegantly shaped and looks clean and of good quality (for what you'd expect from Nine West with less than a $170 original price tag. I mean, they're not $500 boots to begin with, you get what you pay for), however, they are slouchy, which is good for a casual look (which is also why I picked light brown, since it's a casual color and can stand scuffs without showing them too much).
