Nine West Women's Grates Ankle Boot

I got these boots in Dark Taupe leather and I love the way they look. I love the color, I love the shape of the toe and I love the hidden heel. The opening for the ankle is bigger than I would like so the outline shows a little bit under boot cut jeans but it's not too bad. I also wear them with skinny jeans tucked in and they look great. I've only had them a week and I've already gotten a lot of compliments. They do not have much cushioning so I am ordering some padded insoles to put in there to make them more comfortable. I am really happy with the boots and Amazon had the lowest price too! **edit - price has gone up since I bought them.

I am usually a size 9.5 but because these were boots (and I'd probably wear them with socks), I decided to go with a size 10. I waited excitedly for the shoes to arrive, and when they did and I tried them on, I wasn't "wowed" by them. Don't get me wrong, they were very comfortable, but even with socks on, it was very loose when walking. The opening of the shoe was also a bit wide; it wasn't tapered in so that it fits underneath my jeans. From the side angle, it just made my feet look incredibly large. I tried to love these shoes, I really did. I just think they don't work well on big feet.

On a brighter note, when you look at the shoes without trying them on, it's very well made. The quality is very nice and I love the design. Hopefully, I find the right ankle bootie for large feet :)

I bought them in black and wear them to work almost daily. Love the heel height and the fact that it is hidden. They are warm and comfortable and well as stylish. My 20 year old daughter likes them too.
