I purchased this shoe (8 1/2 M) because I moved from the south to Philadelphia, PA and needed a shoe for the snow. I wear a 8 or 8 1/2 depending on the maker of the shoe. I love this shoe, I wore it everywhere, even while walking my dogs because there is faux fur that extends to the toe and my feet were not cold. Sometimes, I didn't wear socks just to run to the store because my feet didn't get cold. I have plantar fasciitis and wear arch supports in my shoes with the typical athletic sock, and the fit was fine. Even with the salt which did turn white on the toe area because I waited too long to clean my shoes--I didn't know. I cleaned the shoes with a wet towel and the shoe is fine. I like the fact it has a slight heel, while walking in the snow I didn't feel any wetness seeping through the sole onto my socks. I wore the shoes all day, not a problem. Also, I received many compliments on the shoe.
