love the look! casual, but u can def dress them up w/dresses or skirts. if u have average-sized calves like me, the shaft will be a bit wider than most riding boots. i would've liked a tighter fit, but at least i can tuck my jeans with ease. if u have slender calves, they're probably not for u. love the brown color (not suede) - perfect compromise between chocolate brown & camel, so u can wear in the fall & spring. looks a bit western, but i like that. comfortable fit. not too big around the ankles like other riding boots. toe is round/wide enough to be comfortable, but a bit pointy for an elegant shape elongating your legs. shaft height flattering & not too tall for a petite 5'3" woman. surprised the sole & heel are plastic! they don't look bad, but c'mon, plastic?! 4 stars due to the plastic sole/heel and shaft on the wider side.

These boots are so cute! I had been eyeing them all summer and they ended up being cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else because of the back to school specials. There is an antique look to these boots, the black is not a shiny black that you'd usually find on boots like these. The the leather looks weathered, but in a good way so the boots don't look generic. The leather itself is very soft and supple and it looks to be of good quality. Since the leather is soft it allows the boot to slouch a little, but the softness of the leather might also be more prone to scratches and scuffs (but I'm not sure if they'll be obvious since the leather is already weathered). I love the buckle accent on the back.
