I have *huge* calves (~18-19") and these are the only boots I've found so far that fit them, thanks to the elastic panel. For that reason alone, I'm keeping them.
However, they're not quite what I wanted. The toe box is a bit mannish, especially under pants, so I'm pretty much limited to wearing them with skirts. On me, they ran a bit long and narrow, and I needed more arch support, so I had to add an insole (Dr. Scholl's Tri-Comfort Orthotics Inserts). They also tend to bunch at the ankle, and i'm not really fond of that look--and I can see that it might get uncomfortable over time, too. They are also more casual of a look than I wanted.
But they are otherwise pretty comfortable. They are VERY tight on my huge calves, but still comfortable, and don't give me muffin top legs--that elastic really does work miracles, and it looks a lot better than I thought it would, not tacky at all. I couldn't tuck jeans or even leggings into them, but I'm not fond of that...Read more

They Slide Down,

The boot upper is really soft and lightweight, so when you wear them a while they tend to slide down and bunch at the ankle. Then the zipper hits the ankle and hurts. The heel is odd looking hard rubber.

These boots are comfortable. I have large calves and have a hard time finding boots that fit. These are easy to slide into and have a more padded sole than most. At the age of 65, comfort is important! I enjoy wearing them.
