i can't tell you how excited i was when i saw a boot with a back zipper and that was leather. when i got them i was pretty disappointed. i ordered size 37, and it was absolutely huge. it was on the upper range of the 7-7.5. i shoulda ordered a size down. the other thing that i was disappointed about was the fact that the boot was barely leather. the boot for the most part is synthetic (it smelled horrible). the only part that was leather was around the toes and heels. save your money.

These are quite comfortable once you break them in, beforehand I got a bit of chafing on my heels. They've held up to the weather well, and look even better in person than they do in the photograph. I'm quite satisfied with them, and wear them very frequently.

I have a very hard time finding knee-high boots that fit - most of the boots available are 13-15" around at the top, and my calves are 16.5". These were almost perfect - I can lace them up to only a 1/2" gap on one side of the tongue, and the leather definitely feels like it will stretch a bit as they wear in.
I like the two-toned look as well, with grey-distressed toe and heel caps. I wanted black (out of stock in my size) but the brown is growing on me.
The only part that will be awkward is breaking in the zipper - it's on the back of the boot instead of the side, it tends to dig in at the ankle where the boot flexes. I'll have to wait and see if I still like them after wearing them for more than a few hours of sitting down inside, but I have high hopes.
