These boots fit really well right out of the box, even on my wide feet and big calves (good to know if you, too, have wider than average calves). Unfortunately, one of the boots looked completely different from the other one. The shaft of the right boot was wrinkled, shiny, and plastic-looking. The left boot was okay, but when I had both on, the pair looked really weird. It almost looked as though the right boot shaft was made out a different type of leather and it had a cheap look to it, which didn't show up in the photos on Amazon. Rather disappointing, but that is an occupational hazard when ordering items sight unseen on the internet! I will be returning these promptly.

I really wanted to love these boots because reviews said they fit well on most calve sizes. The fit is good, runs true to size, but I was still disappointed in the boot. They are being returned. The leather is questionable - some parts seem like relatively good leather but the strap around the ankle seems to me to be vinyl - and cheap looking vinyl at that. I would be shocked if this is actually leather. It made the whole boot look extremely cheap. Bummed.

I have been looking at these boots at Macy's for some time now,and I was ready to order them and then I thought to check Amazon. So happy I did, saved myself some money. The boots fit very nicely, even on my slightly larger calves. Easy to pull on. Over all very happy with these boots. Would like them in another color!
