La Canadiene Boot,

This is the second pair of La Canadienne boots that I ordered from Amazon (Shoemania). Great boot, but it is too big. This company seems to run large, I can fit a whole finger inside behind my heel, about a half inch. I would recommend a 1/2 to 1 size smaller. Otherwise a fantastic company and boot.

I own three pairs of La Canadienne boots. I have formed a lasting attachment to the brand, due to its comfort and properties. Regarding the Felicia:
True to size, if you wish to wear them with thin socks only. You may want to go half a size up, if you wish to wear thick/multiple socks (which you will, in very cold weather), are between sizes, and/or have above average foot width (my feet are slightly wider then "medium" but not quite "wide"). The suede is a bit stretchy, so those with wider ankles will find the style forgivable: yes, you can zip the boot all the way up, despite the seemingly small circumference. The suede is waterproof and repels snow quite well. The rubber sole is firm and grips well on slippery snow. Even thought the sole is thick, the shoe is definitely made for long distance walking. The boot looks quite slim on the foot, and I have even worn it with woolen dress pants. For a La Canadienne boot that is even more suitable for business attire please look...Read more

For the record, my Fitflop ankle boots are far more comfortable than these boots are. However, the Felicia, bought on sale for $94, are attractive boots that are more dressy in appearance, make my feet look small and elegant (quite a feat!), and would be suitable for wearing to work under a pair of slacks. If you have high arches and want to wear thicker socks, please consider ordering either a wide or one half size up. These are snug fitting across the top of the foot and ankle, but as far as my feet are concerned, they are not short for their size. Although the toe box is narrow, I can still move my toes around, so that hasn't been as much of a problem as I anticipated. I have awful feet, just awful, and yet I can go for walks in these. I'm not sure about long distances, due to the fused bone (a genetic condition) in my big toe. which limits my endurance with heels over one inch. We'll see after I fully break them in. Gorgeous boot, and I don't think you can do better for the sales...Read more
