Frye makes terrific boots, and this Veronica Combat is no exception. The fit and quality is perfect- the issue is that, with the black at least, I ordered it thinking I would get what was pictured-- the cool, vintage-looking "sandblasted" version. What I actually rec'd was solid black. Sent them back, re-ordered. Same issue. Called Amazon, the guy said he would have someone correct the image to show the solid black. I tried ordering a third time after I saw my size back in stock and the same thing arrived. How frustrating--get it straight, Amazon! I only ordered from Amazon because this particular boot was impossible to find elsewhere.

Bought this boot as a gift and received it from the Frye Company. Not only is the quality of the boot poor for the price, when I called to ask about specific build questions (the boot is stitched so poorly there are serious wrinkles that just don't look right) I was told to email pictures to customer service. That's cool, I can do that I said. Emailed the pictures-twice and did not receive any kind of reply. Zero. Silence. There are an awful lot of shoe companies out there-find something better and get it there. Look, I own 3 pairs of Fryes myself-but the love ends here. Very dissatisfied with the boot AND the lame customer service.

I love these boots! When you put them on they are really comfortable and supportive. The tie-up design is classic, instead of the cop out zipper that most boots have these days... Anyway. I just love these, they are super cute.
