This boot is darling, I was so happy when I pulled it out of the box! Then,I tried to get it on, and it's impossible. The shaft of the boot is too narrow, they didn't leave enough room at the ankle to turn your foot into the actual boot. Even by undoing the straps I couldn't get my ankle to make the turn. Too bad, because they're so cute! Maybe if you had a very narrow, very flexible foot...hmm, probably not even then. Odd, since Frye is a premier boot maker.

HELLO,I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT ORDERING THESE BOOTS AFTER READING THE REVIEWS. I AM A 10 B. THEY ARE PERFECT! VERY CLASSY AND NOT SLOPPY LIKE THE VERONICA SHORTIES. THEY ARE DRESSY BOOTS AND CASUAL AT THE SAME TIME. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM GETTING MY FOOT INTO THEM AT ALL. THE FRYE ROGAN BOOTS ARE HARD TO GET INTO AT FIRST BUT NOT THESE.THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. I SUPPOSE IF YOU HAVE A WIDE FOOT THEY COULD BE TOO NARROW. I WOULD STILL GIVE THEM A TRY. YOU DON'T SEE BOOTS LIKE THESE IN STORES. THE FRY ENGINEER BOOTS WHICH I HAVE AND LOVE YOU KNOW THERE WILL BE CHEAP COPIES EVERYWHERE THIS FALL. THESE BOOTS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL THEY WOULD BE HARD TO COPY. GET THEM YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!

This is my first Frye purchase. I have been deterred by the price. But I have to say that these are definitely worth it, and I can see what the fuss is about. They are very well made boots, and although they are a little stiff at first, they break in very easily molding my foot perfectly. I had specifically heard that the Frye footbed is what sets it apart from other boots, and that is correct. The footbed is so comfortable, I can walk all day in these. I ordered my true size and it fits great; some might find this style a little narrow, however. I wear it both under and over jeans. Very happy with this purchase.
