let me first start by saying I wear a size 8. I have fairly normal feet maybe a bit on the wide side if anything. I usually fit in any brands size 8 but after ordering these in size 8 I had to return them because they were waaay too tight. So I opted for the size 8.5 next time around since I was so in love with the style. The size 8.5 was just right. they are far easier to get on and off. Shoes need some breaking in and will be hard to fit in with socks for awhile i presume. wool socks are too thick and out of the question with these shoes. The shoe quality in case you are unfamiliar with frye is top notch as always. really the best boots money can buy. but keep in mind how small they run. i would recommend ordering at least a half size larger. Whole size may be too big
