I have ordered approximately 5 different pairs of boots this season. I was looking for a taller harness boot that was classic rather than western in styling. I love the look of the taller Trapunto but the boot shaft was simply to small to accomodate my calf. I wear a size 8 US pant so I am not sure why Frye cuts the boot shaft so narrow. I ordered the Trapunto shortie in black and truly love the boot. It is not really a boot for short skirts but looks wonderful with longer skirts and pants. Extremely comfortable - sizing was perfect. I normally take a size 7.5 to 8 shoe, and I ordered the 7.5, which fit well: roomy, no rubbing with just the right amount of heel slippage. I am happy to report not a single blister after several wearings. I highly recommend the boot.

This is the boot I've been waiting for! The light tan is evenly colored and has a somewhat pebbly texture. To my eye, it's darker than light tan. In my normal size, the boot was too large; heel slipped too much, and the foot creased in the wrong place. In 1/2 size smaller, bingo! The heel slips slightly the way a boot heel should. It's soft, lined, beautifully made, and comfortable right out of the box. One caution: I have a high instep, and it took some pulling to get my foot into the boot. Once in, my feet were in boot heaven. I heartily recommend these and am considering purchasing another pair in another color. I bought this boot to wear with jeans (denim, black, tan, and cordury), but I may wear it with a skirt, too. This boot has all the makings of a wear-it-every-day boot (which is why I think I may want another pair).

I absolutely love these boots. The leather and craftsmanship are beautiful and I get many compliments on them. They fit mostly true to size but the arch fits snugly, they must be pulled on not slipped into. The only downside of these boots is that they have no traction whatsoever. I love them, but they will have to wait until the snow thaws.
