I love my new boots!! They didn't have my 7.5 size so I took a chance with an 8 since some sites recommended getting .5 bigger......I am so glad I ordered the larger size. Jeans fit easily inside and looks great with a skirt.

I have two other Frye footwear pairs and this pair does not disapppoint. The quality is superb, the boot well constructed, and the leather supple but not yet broken in. The style is definitely unique. The fit is consistent with Frye (I am typically a 5.5 so wear a 6 in boots). I have a wide foot but the arch was fine and though the toe bed gets narrow at the tip of the toes (still comfortable for me though). The footbed is padded and you can definitely not wear socks with these.
However, I am 5'0 and am returning the boot. The height hits right below my knee (which is fine) but the boot kind of overwhelms my calf. The shaft is also rather wide on me but can easily be pulled on especially over skinnies and tights. I'd recommend the boot for someone a bit taller, like over 5'2. I did order the black which is nice, but the dark brown could probably easily substitute and be more versatile.
Get ready for CANKLES, unless yours are already wide.,

Great quality, beautiful leather, but the boot is huge. Probably a sixteen inch shaft circumference instead of the stated 15, and the ankles are pretty much just as big! I have about an average sized calf of 14" and 8.5" ankles, and it was like wearing someone else's feet. Sent them back. They really are beautiful for someone with larger calves and ankles, though.
