Just got this boot today and was delighted with the speedy delivery. I did pay for two day delivery and got them in San Francisco next day. Very well made boot and I got the chocolate brown. If your planning wearing them out of the box just beware that the leather is hard and needs to be worn in. I am a 7.5 and I was hoping they wouldn't be too big but they are very true to size. Tho, I think they are a lovely boot I am not %100 gone on the style. I will return and get the Frye Carson lace up in exchange. For me, I think that boot will be more stylish for jeans and pants that I wear.

Bought this boot in Burnt Red, which is a very rich rusty-brown color. The toe area is slightly darker than the other parts of the boot and adds a nice touch. The boot is of medium stiffness, but seems like it will break in nicely. I wear a size 6 and found this boot true to size. Straight out of the box, the boot is very comfortable. I have yet to wear them for a full day, but presume they will wear well. I have been very pleased with my other FRYE brand shoes/boots and look forward to many years of wear.

I found these boots to be true to size, and as others have mentioned, the leather is stiff and they certainly need breaking in, but that's to be expected. The heel height was exactly what I wanted, and they're perfect for work (in my fairly casual office) or going out. My feet hurt a bit in a few spots where they were tight until I rubbed the leather on the inside with my thumb to stretch it out (a trick a boot salesmen showed me once). My only complaint is that there is no padding at all below the ball of the foot. On the plus side, this means the boots will last longer without wearing out--after all, the price is a good deal only because Frye boots can last several years longer than most women's shoes--but I found the area around the ball of my foot too tight to squeeze in some kind of padded insole, and I find that the downward angle of the heel puts most of my weight on the ball of my foot, and it hurts to walk in these for more than about half a mile. (I was hoping to be...Read more
