A boot as upscale and urban as ECCO's Hobart hardly needs our humble recommendation, but humor us for a moment if you will. We just can't say enough about its exquisitely tailored leather upper, nor its slenderizing ankle-high cut and smartly belted shaft. Made special by a metal buckle accent, smart by a full-length side zipper and safe by a rubber traction sole, it's one of those wear-anywhere marvels that we especially dig with cuffed trousers and a crisp white button-down.

I spent $180 in Dec 2011 for these shoes on Amazon. They run at least one size too big. Had the size been right, these would have been nice, comfortable shoes. Made in China.

Why doesn't Amazon state the shoes were made in China? Seems intentionally misleading and not something I would expect from Amazon.

I normally love Ecco footwear. These looked just right--comfortable, simple, but attractive. Unfortunately, the quality of the leather is horrible, just like plastic. I feel like I'm wearing tupperware. I'll definitely be returning these.
