I've always worn Docs in my personal life and at work. They are the only boots/shoes that are comfortable and last (and last and last and last) from walking miles and miles each day. I still have my first pair of eight eye, beat-up boots that I bought over 20 years ago. They're so heavy and clunky compared to the boots that they sell now, but I just can't get rid of them. These are the first strictly women's Docs that I've owned and I love them. I had a pair of Uggs that were my slip on to walk the dog, run to the store, etc. shoes; unfortunately my toe poked through in less than a year and it was $120 down the drain. These cost a little more, but I know they're going to last forever and they're so cute and comfortable. As a bonus, I don't think they're available in the US for some reason, so they're almost one-of-a-kind.
