After returning a pair of Hunter boots because they felt too narrow on my calf, I tried these on in a store but they didn't have my size. I found them online and ordered a size smaller than I usually wear (ordered a size 7, but I'm usually an 8) and they fit perfectly! They fit well with a thick sock for colder days, but also fit nicely with a thinner sock for spring. The "quilting" at the top adds a nice layer of detail. The gunmetal color is nice because it works well with black, brown, grey, etc. The inside also has a thin soft, almost fuzzy (but doesn't shed) lining. Not really for insulation, just so your socks and skin aren't rubbing against the rubber. I would definitely recommend these boots!

I have been on a wild goose chase for a pair of decent rainboots, and I am extremely happy to say that the search has finally ended with the dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boots. I hope the information I provide will be helpful. I was hesitant to size down by one size (as indicated by other reviews I saw online), but boy am I glad I did. I am usually a size 6, but I bought a size 5 and I found that they are still pleasantly roomy. Furthermore, the dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boots are so comfortable. They have a soft fleecy lining and also a removable padded insert on the bottom. dav Women's Quilted English Knee-High Boot is an excellent boot and very well made. Listen to the other feedback and order a smaller size. I wear a 6 1/2 to 7 medium width according to the shoe/boot. I ordered a 5 in this boot and it fits perfectly. It fits better than my most expensive leather boots. This does not look like a cheap boot, you won't want to work in the barn in this boot! I debated on the sparkly blackish color but am so glad I ordered it. It is beautiful and fits my calves. I also do a lot of hiking and working out. I'm short 5'3" & 120 to 124lbs. and they fit my legs fine. I now want one in every color!!! You won't regret buying this boot, just remember to order smaller than what you normally wear and you won't be disappointed.
