Just got these today, and I haven't taken them off yet! They are very warm without overheating, the laces allow for a snug fit for any size calf, and they are really cute. It's nice to have functional, serious cold weather boots that look stylish. I'm still breaking them in, but my only two gripes are small ones - the material is quite stiff, which makes running a little tough, and because of the stiffness, the suede in the heel buckles a little. However, I'm sure this is all just part of the breaking in process. I wear a 7 1/2, and got the 8, and they fit perfect, so I would say in general they run a little small - something to consider if you're a half size, I'd recommend going up. I am very happy with my new winter boots!

If I was reviewing these boots based on look only, I would give them 5 stars. They are really stylish, and they are also comfortable and very warm. My problem is the fit. Yes, they were a little small, but if that were my only issue I would have kept them, no problem. There is almost no flexion at the ankle. So when you are walking, it's noticeably stiff and unnatural. The second problem is that they are so slippery! With all this snow on the ground, there is bound to be ice. Walking through the snow is ok, but walking on ice almost guarantees you a fall. For these 2 reasons I returned the boots and am trying out a different brand, hopefully with better luck.

In my first try-on....they are light-weight but feel substantial enough to protect me from the cold (along with a Columbia snow coat, which was wonderful, too!). I wear a size 8 normally & I ordered a size 8 - they feel pretty snug with regular socks on. The purpose in the purchase is for a vacation to New York from my home of Texas...so I am not used to the cold. They do feel cozy!
I really wanted some vegan boots, but I couldn't find any that were water-resistant, breathable & warm. My others cause my feet to sweat, which does not ensure warmth!
Now I will have to wear them in Texas 60 degree weather to wear them in a bit before my trip!

*To follow up after months of wearing these boots: I love them! I wore them all day long while walking the streets (wet & icy) of New York and they were completely comfortable, dry and warm inside. We even got a few days of snow in Texas, so I got to wear them on walks in the woods. I love them, great buy!
