Columbia created the Women's Titanium Daska Pass Omni-Tech Hiking Boot for ladies who are serious about backpacking in comfort. The lightweight waterproof upper keeps out rain, snow, and dew while still breathing well. A Contour Comfort 3D liner molds the Daska Pass boot to the shape of your foot and fights odor and bacteria build-up. Columbia knew you like to go the distance, so they built in a steel shank for ultimate support and longevity.

Lace up the super burly Daska Pass™ Omni-Tech® and tromp off into the far reaches of the greater outdoors. Designed for serious hiking endeavors, they’re perfect for backpacking trips and epic treks when loads get heavier and distances longer. The waterproof and abrasion-resistant nubuck upper, gusseted tongue and scratch toe cap keep feet dry, secure, and comfortable. Inside the boot, the contoured, triple-density EVA footbed provides three layers of cushioning and support - and its removable, so you can easily swap in your own custom insoles if you prefer. The Contour Comfort™ footbed helps to circulate air through the insole and an anti-odor treatment battles the funk of trail-weary feet, keeping things feeling (and smelling) fresh. Ankles enjoy super stability from the traditional high cut and a full-length last and metal shank provide maximum torsional support. Tackle even the most gnarly terrain with confidence - the aggressive lugged pattern of the Vibram® rubber outsole grips loose and uneven surfaces to keep you upright and on the move.

I wore these boots out hiking twice within the first week of receiving them. The boots fit very well. I normally wear a size 7 and ordered a size 8 due to previous feedback. The size 8 is perfect for wearing boot socks too. The first hike felt a little strange, as I have never worn hiking boots, and the soles are very thick and stiff. Additionally, I wore regular socks which caused for some irritation around my ankles from the boots rubbing. However, the second day the boots performed wonderfully. I hiked for 90 minutes in snow and mud and my feet stayed completely dry and warm! I wore a pair or boot socks and had no problems with irritation around my ankles. I trudged through marshy areas and never felt a drop of water. I would highly recommend these boots!

I hike approximately 8 hours a day for work, and these boots exceeded my expectations for comfort and durability. There was no breaking in period for me at all, they were instantly comfy the first day I wore them. The boots do run small, so be sure to buy one half size larger than your normal shoe size. I would recommend these boots to anyone!

Recently tried these in a local Columbia shop in Bahrain. I wear a UK size 3 (US size 5 I believe)in everyday shoes. I wear Nike trainers and a pair of MBT's US size 5.5. For these boots I found the US size 6 to be a good fit lengthwise but way too tight across the ball of my foot. There seemed to be no difference in width with each size just increasing length. I do not have wide feet, in fact I often find shoes are too wide for me.
Hope this helps for anyone considering buying these without trying first as I nearly did.
