These are my first pair of rain boots. I wanted something stylish, affordable, and functional. I typically wear a 7 1/2 in a sandal and an 8 in a shoe, my feet are slightly wide; also these are great for people that do not have slender calves. These work great with a pair of thin or regular type socks, as they are not insulated for those of us in the colder regions + this might be an important factor for you. If you want a larger pair of socks and require some extra warmth I would go up a size otherwise they are pretty snug, not comfortable. I really like the tread on these too. These are lightweight, comfortable, not bulky; great for going to + from work, shopping, walking around, on campus; light outdoor work around the yard. I would not recommend them for anything heavy duty,farms, etc.

My daughter asked for these for her birthday, she's in college & they have to walk thru puddles going to classes. I was alittle concerned about buying them online in case they didn't fit. A couple of reviews had me concerned, however they fit great & my daughter loves them. thanks Amazon for making shopping so easy!

I ordered and returned these boots twice for the same reason. While I liked the style, the left boot was at least 1 to 1 1/2 sizes smaller than the right on both occasions.
