Chooka Women's Crocodilia Boot

I have had these boots for about 6 months. I was loving them, wearing them about once or twice a month (whenever it rained, obviously). However, when I looked down yesterday, I noticed the top of the right boot had split open along one of the lines of the crocodile pattern. I couldn't believe it, as I got these for $70 and they didn't even hold up as well as rain boots I got from Marshall's for $30! I probably wore them a total of 20 times or less before this happened... very disappointing.

These boots are really nice, however they run small. Every rainboot I ever tried on, I had to take a size 7 in even though I'm a size 8. So I first ordered a size 7 and when it came it was way too tight, so I returned them and ordered a size 8. I assumed that this brand of rainboots ran true 2 size. So now the 8 arrives and my toes are touching the front of the boots! Exact! And I bought fleece liners to use with them from target (9.99) and that didn't help the situation. I didn't feel like doing another return, so I'm keeping them, but I would have rathered a little more room. North Face winter boots- size 8- Perfect! Lacoste sneakers-size 8- Perfect! Chooka rainboots- size 8- Not so perfect:-( definately needed a 9 since I'm using liners. Oh well:-/
