This review is from: Chooka Women's Big Peacock Rain Boot (Apparel) I love the colorful design of this Chooka Rain Boot. I was also impressed because it was described as "lined." When I received it, the liner was a cheap strip of cotton that would in no way provide warmth or comfort to the wearer. Additionally, the fit was weird -- tight across the top of my foot. I had to return it. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Chooka Women's Big Peacock Rain Boot (Apparel) These boots look much nicer in real life than in the picture; the colours are bright and the pattern is well defined (no warping like with other rain boots) The boots fit snug around the top of your foot (thick socks aren't a good idea) but have lots of wiggle room for your toes. I definitely recommend these, they're really cute and very comfortable. Enjoy! Edit: After trying these out on a wet/slushy day, I'd have to say the "rainproofness" of these boots is probably proportional to their price. Although adorable, these things don't keep water out if you intend to be in the wet outdoors for more than 10 minutes at a time. And I don't recommend splashing in puddles - you *will* get wet feet. The sole is fantastic though, and will grip really well on wet/snowy/icy ground. Pity, but not surprising I guess. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Chooka Women's Big Peacock Rain Boot (Apparel) These boots are pretty and unusual, and everyone who sees them loves them. Sadly, within a month of owning them, the rubber cracked along the turn of the big toe on both boots. Now I have non-waterproof rainboots--what's the point in that? I'll also echo a note left by others: they seem to run small, so I'd suggest ordering up a size if you still want to give them a try. |
