Bogs Women's Classic High Paisley Boot

I got these Bogs High boots for winter walking 2-3 miles to the store- no cleared sidewalks in Kenai, Alaska and to slip on when driving to the store. Through deep or slushy snow- warm, light weight, waterproof. On ice- very slippery like I am wearing rain boots. The tread is maybe 1/8 " deep. Other details: I ordered one size up (usually 9-9 1/2) to wear wool socks and the size 10 still has an inch at the toes and the heel. They aren't sloppy when walking because the ankle is shaped and the material stretches even where there's rubber. The cloth neoprene is totally flexible, soft, and warm. The High boots aren't too high, I measure 6" between the top on the sides and my knee. I am 5'6" in height. They are easy to walk in being light weight, flexible, and cushioned. I asked for good boots for Christmas that would survive the dog park's mud, puddles, and snow, and my brother gave me these lovely boots. They're perfectly warm, waterproof, comfortable straight out of the box, and really cute looking to boot. I don't think they're excessively warm in room temperatures, although some wearers may feel that way. I normally wear a size 8 to size 9, depending on the fit (8 wide with thinner socks, 9 or occasionally larger for boots that have to fit my fat calves). The size 9 was perfect for my feet, and are a snug but comfortable fit on my calves. My sister-in-law's had hers for a year and they look as good as new. The only drawback is they take a little bit of time to pull off (no just kicking these boots off!), which made wearing them through airport security a tad cumbersome.

I was really hesitant about spending so much on a pair of boots without seeing them in person first, but I love these boots. I am usually a size 8.5 and ordered a 9 in this boot, it fits really well and they are super comfortable. I can already tell my feet will stay warm, and they are not as heavy as boots I have had in the past. Definitely a worth while product.
