I also ordered these boots in gray, and the gray I received was exactly as pictures, a light-medium neutral gray. The buckles do make noise when you walk, but I only really noticed it after reading the other review. I'll probably superglue them too like the other reviewer mentioned since they don't serve a functional purpose. I like that the boots are looser in the calf, which is why I picked them, but if you're looking for something tighter-fitting, this isn't the boot for you.

So they are alright just for the fact that their description and pictures aren't necessarily correct. The boots do come up just below the knee. they are pretty loose at the very top and are loose pretty much all the way to the ankle. They are true to size though. If you are truly a size nine get a size nine. An Eight and a half would definitely be too small. The heel has a plasticy part that is slighty uncomfortable because it almost hugs the ankle but I think as you wear them it won't be a problem. The grey color shown here is way off! it is not a light grey whatsoever. It is more of a dark grey with a coppery tone to it, almost a slight brown grey. The buckles make noise when you walk and its pretty annoying but i will fix that. I like the style of the boot though. Very cute! I don't mind the color but if you are going for a light grey leather, this is not light grey. They feel like pretty solid boots.
