I was excited when I first took these boots out of the box - I loved the way they looked and the leather was supple. Also, I was looking for a wide calf boot as most women's boots will not zipper on me. However, the circumference on this boot was ridiculously huge. If you are looking for extra-extra-wide calf boots, then these boots are for you. However, if you are average build or just a little bigger, then your legs will swim in them.

The leather was beautiful on this boot. The length was perfect. Unfortunately, the calf opening was so huge that I could fit a few pairs of rolled socks down there. I did order the 9.5W, but expected that the width would apply to the footbed, not the calf opening. If you have a very thick calf, this is the boot for you.
