These are INCREDIBLE boots. I have several pairs of winter boots: these are among my favorites. Why? They are super comfortable, warm, and versatile. They are very stylish, with the scrunched suede shafts. I'm glad to see from another review that one can even wear these for riding! The other review...which is extremely negative...is just puzzling to me. How can you not like these boots?! The nice thing about this style is that they look somewhat more like a regular boot...not like a moon boot... so even when there's no snow on the ground you can slip them on, take out the garbage, take the dog for a walk, run out to the market etc. Baffins do run small, so order up. I usually wear a 6 but get 7s when I order Baffins.

I bought these boots after reading the other reviews, especially the "horse person" one since I needed to replace my barn boots that had just cracked. Horse properties in the Pacific NW can be very wet and muddy. I was hoping for something cute enough to go to town after knocking the mud off, but keep my feet warm and dry at the barn since my toes tend to get cold very easily. These boots really fit the bill! The first day I wore them it was well below freezing in the morning, but by afternoon it was about 50 degrees. They kept my feet warm in the morning but surprisingly were not too warm in the afternoon. They were comfortable right from the start with all day wear. The sole/heel base is wide enough to offer support on uneven ground or rocky terrain. I followed the recommendation in one review and sized up. I usually wear an 8 if shoes/boots run true to size or a bit large and an 8&1/2 if they run small. The 9 fits perfectly with average weight socks. Overall these are really great...Read more

I am a horsewoman and having tried many different boots for horse and ranch work, the Baffin boots rank in the top "All Round Best Boots." They are extremely comfortable, your feet don't tire after a day on the dirt, good heel for riding too, easy to get on and off, easy to clean, cool styling too...
Althought the description states they are "winter boots" with thin socks they are not too warm even in warmer weather. Once I tried the black ones, I quickly ordered them in brown, then they went on super sale so I got a back-up black pair as well...these boots will be there for my lifetime with horses.
