This boot fits like a bootie more than a work boot. Padded collar prevents snug lacing.(There goes your ankle support) The brass hardware is not something that you hook around, you actually pass your lace through so it is completely cosmetic and a complete pain to lace. The soft and squishy sole is fine until after one year you have to throw your boots away because it doesn't hold up in an industrial environment.Might be good around the barn but didn't hold up in a metal shop.
