Ariat Women's Iona Boot

I was very disappointed when I received the boots to find they had a very obvious defect - one was stitched wrong. There should have been a quality control test before shipping them out and now I am still waiting for my refund. They are nice boots though. I have purchased many Ariat products and have always been happy with the quality.

I've been looking all winter for some good black boots. I decided I wanted to try a lace up boot. So I ordered these Ariat boots and the slightly shorter Timberland Bethel Buckle boot. In pictures they both seem to have a similar style with two different types of leather textures and a buckle. The Ariat boots I could tell were better quality. The inside of Ariat's Iona boots are lined with beautiful soft leather. Whereas the Timberlands have a cheaper polyester lining. The Ariats had more room in the feet, but the Timberlands had a really soft sole that felt really nice. I was looking for a boot that was tough yet also feminine. I really thought that the lace up, buckle, and suede would give the Ariats more of a touch of femininity. But the overall shape of the foot is like a work boot. They weren't feminine enough for me.
