These Area Forte boots are beautifully made and the quality of the leather is outstanding. The shaft of the boot is a bit narrow and I had a difficult time putting them on. Also, I have very muscular legs and over a pair of jeans these felt uncomfortably tight at the top. I think for a person with thinner legs or someone who planned to wear them with tights, they would be great. I bought these boots from Amazon and unfortunately had to return them, but Amazon made it almost painless.
