I'm bummed that this boot wouldn't work for me. I'm normally an 8 - 81/2 and ordered a 38 per the other reviews. The boot was plenty long and felt a bit big in normal, thin socks, so tried it with thicker socks that I'd normally wear with motorcycle boots and then it was a no go. The leather is beautiful in its varied coloration (I got it in a brown color) but it is the stiff leather of something like a saddle, where you are expected to wear it in, I guess. Because of this and because it was tight for me across the ball (the widest part) of my foot, it was uncomfortable and I'm returning it.

The boot is very well made. Seams all sewn, not glued. Deep rubber treads on the leather sole for grip. no shoddy workmanship here. But if your foot is at all wide (and I have what I thought was a medium to narrow foot), look elsewhere. There are no hidden zips/fastenings. You have to pull this boot on.
