I was extremely disappointed in these boots. I've been looking for some that look like this for a long time, and the review I read stated how comfortable they are. When I got them and I tried them on, I couldn't keep them on for more than a couple minutes because they were so amazingly uncomfortable. These are some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. My feet fit in them well and I had room to wiggle my toes, so they were the proper size. But they are tight and stiff across the top of the foot just below the toes. The heel and ankle were tight where they should have been loose, and loose where they should have been more fitted to keep you from getting blisters. I couldn't walk more than a few feet in them before had to take them off. Perhaps they would have eventually shaped to my feet better and become less stiff and broken in, but by then I would have been limping and in major pain, so what's the point? I wanted to get a pair of inexpensive ankle boots that were comfortable yet fashionable that I could wear around town. I typically buy fashion labels (Prada, Weitzman, Cole Hahn, Loubouton) but sometimes you just need a pair that can get some wear without breaking the bank. These keep with the current fashions, are so comfortable and fit great. I typically wear between an 8 1/2 and 9 and the 9 was a good fit. I should mention the saleswoman also sold me a pair of universal insoles to wear in them which probably contributes to their comfort. They are great with a pair of work pants for when you are just not in the mood to wear heels. The heel is high enough to look polished but low enough to stay comfortable. I rarely write reviews but love these so much I had to!
